Randall Homes’ show home in RidgeWood West just recently sold to a buyer. Before they took possession, we visited the home to speak to Agent Cheryl Thurston about living in the community, building new, and Randall Homes’ signature style.

“This is one of Randall’s very popular 4-bedroom homes. It’s 1,912 sq ft, with four nice-sized bedrooms and two full bathrooms including the deluxe bathroom in the en-suite,” says Thurston. “There aren’t that many homes being built with four good-sized bedrooms upstairs. For larger families, it’s great.”

In addition to its four bedrooms and two bathrooms, the home’s main floor is a large open-concept design with a formal dining room near the front entrance.

“Randall Homes is known well for their standard finishes. When we are building your home, you don’t just have a choice of one or two cabinets, you have 112 different choices of cabinetry available. We finish stud walls with a nice wood cap, and all our homes have thick banisters.”

“Some of the beautiful finishes in this home include quartz on the main floor, laminate floors, very family friendly and a nice composite deck on the back. Randall really keeps in mind the value-adding features to offer our customers. Some you may not see somewhere else."

“The open space in the back of the house is great, and Randall’s signature large windows allow lots of natural light in. Not only that, you can see more of this beautiful community through them!”

RidgeWood West is Charleswood’s newest community. Its design fundamentally promotes active living and exploring your surroundings by incorporating natural elements throughout. With the Harte Trail running beside the community, residents can ride to Fort Whyte, or spend time in the Assiniboine Forest or Assiniboine Park.

The benefits of living in RidgeWood West don’t stop there. A lot of the newer neighbourhoods you see around Winnipeg don’t have any schools or are far from shopping and other amenities. Thurston goes into further detail.

“Charleswood, because it has been here for a long time, even as a small city in the beginning, is so close to grocery shopping, yoga, gas stations, etc. We’re only eight minutes from Ikea and all the outlet shopping.“

“There are lots of schools here. Oak Park High School is awesome. My kids went there and they continue to produce olympians and musical talent. There’s also French and English language availability in the area, so your bases are covered.”

When asked what her personal opinion of the area is, Thurston said, “I know the community and what it offers. This neighborhood has a lot of pent-up demand. The pricing is right out here, too. People know what to expect from Qualico Communities. They’ve done Sage Creek and Oak Bluff West, to name a few. Qualico always does an amazing job developing the land.”

“Not only that, this neighbourhood is full of families. You’ll have instant friends on your street, maybe even some babysitters. I’ve seen how these communities go, and pretty soon everyone knows each other, their kids know each other. It’s just great.”
